Fire design engineers and contractors join forces to host unmissable CPD

Experts from FDS Contracting and sister company FDS Consult are gearing up to deliver the next installment in their popular CPD series – focusing on fire design and smoke venting solutions.

The seminar will be held at the Building Centre, in London, on Wednesday 18th September, and is aimed at architects, M&E consultants, developers and contractors who want to extend their education of fire engineering principles and smoke venting for projects within the residential, commercial and mixed use sectors.

Michel Wizenberg, Managing Director at FDS Consult, said: “Given the wealth of practical fire engineering experience within FDS and FDS Consult, we find it particularly useful during seminars to draw on our completed projects. The seminar will use case studies to illustrate smoke venting and sprinkler system solutions, whilst providing an overview of fire engineering, achieving building regulations compliancy and value engineered solutions.

“At every session we canvass the opinions of our delegates to find out what other areas they’re interested in. This seminar will also feature a presentation on the RRO (Regulatory Reform Order), fire risk assessment and management strategy, as we have had particularly strong feedback on these areas in the past and are keen to ensure that we deliver what our delegates want.”

Michel will be joined by fellow speakers and colleagues Jigar Pandya, Senior Fire Engineer, and Jim Golt, Senior Associate Fire Engineer who has more than two decades within the London Fire Brigade to his credit.
