Find out how to install a cost-neutral sprinkler system that’s also WRAS approved!

At FDS we have used our knowledge and expertise to create a sprinkler system that is not only WRAS approved, but due to the potential savings on other fire safety systems or onerous compartmentation requirements that may be omitted owing to the presence of sprinklers, could actually be cost-neutral!

Currently, sprinkler systems are a mandatory requirement for all residential developments with floors 30m or more above ground level, but they usually come at a great cost to the developer. We can use our design expertise to eliminate unnecessary fire safety systems because of the sprinklers, thereby helping developers meet legislation at limited cost to them.

Further cost savings are evident as the system requires no additional components and runs off the cold water boosted mains. As required by the Water Supply Regulations 1999, it is essential that every component including sprinkler heads, flow switches and priority demand valves are WRAS Certified where the sprinkler system shares the boosted cold water system – our systems achieve WRAS approval on all component parts.
